Mrs. Mariam Potts
Hi! My name is Mariam Potts, the School Social Worker here at Mackay Elementary School. I was fortunate to have always known I wanted to work in the helping field in some capacity. I pursued my passion and obtained my Master's degree in Social Work from Rutgers University in 2008. Thirteen years later, I am convinced I am living my calling, helping families and students navigate life's challenges that may impact their academic learning.
Over the past years, I have worked in a variety of school settings with diverse age groups ranging from pre-k through 12th grade. I live by the motto, "My students' success becomes my success." I am a big believer that the best is yet to come. I am looking forward to working with all the students and parents of Mackay Elementary School.
